Troubleshooting
air photo

If you have problem with Air Photo or Insta Camera, please follow this troubleshooting document.

Air Photo/Insta Camera shows “Not Connected”.

First, did you install Air Photo Server on your PC or Mac, and is the Air Photo Server running?

If not, download and install the correct server for your PC or Mac, depending on the OS.

Note, Air Photo Server for Mac requires 10.5 Leopard. 10.4 Tiger or earlier is not supported.

If Air Photo Server is running, the problem is with your network. Is your iPhone Connected to your Wifi router? If it shows “E” or “3G”, it is connected to your cell phone network, not your Wifi.

Last, if your iPhone connected to the same router as your computer? Please do not daisy chain routers. Air Photo and Air Photo Server must run on the same network. In this case, it means the iPhone and the computer must be connected to the same router.

Air Photo/Insta Camera shows “Connecting to (your computer)...”.

In this case, Air Photo successfully found Air Photo Server. However, there is a problem with the connection.

This is a firewall issue. Go to your computer, and make sure Air Photo Server is added to the exception list of your firewall.

Air Photo/Insta Camera shows “Connected to (your computer)”.

The connection between Air Photo and Air Photo Server is successful. If you cannot print, the problem is the printer settings.

In Air Photo Server, select “File | Printer Setup...”. Make sure it has selected a valid working printer, and all the settings are correct, especially the paper size.
